Imagine today is Wednesday the 1st of June 2005. And somebody mentions something that happens "Next Monday". Which date are they talking about?
Applying my (obviously flawless) logic, it means the first Monday after today - i.e. the 6th of June.
Wrong.
In English, it means the following Monday - i.e. the Monday the 13th of June !
However, if they meant the Monday I thought they meant, then they would have phrased it "on Monday" or just "Monday". Which to me is the same thing...
